What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of alternative medicine development by the Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui. Since originating in Japan, Reiki has been adopted across the world as a method of reducing stress, improving relaxation, and enhancing overall well-being.
During our session I channel "universal life force energy" also called "chi" into your 7 energy centers, known as chakras. Your chakras store emotional information from as early as childhood and influence how you experience and interact with the world. When they become blocked you develop symptoms like fear, anxiety, depression, loneliness, low self esteem, and indecision, to name a few. For more on the chakras and what they represent click here.
What does a Reiki session look like?
Before our session, I'll get to know you to develop an understanding of your symptoms and how you would like to see your life improve. The session itself takes place on a massage table where you'll focus on relaxing and breathing into your deepest state of allowing. The more open and comfortable you are, the greater the benefits. During the session I'll use both hands off and hands on techniques, based on your preference, to evaluate where you are blocked in your energetic body. Other tools used during the session include sound healing music, breathwork, and essential oils.
After the session, we will discuss where your primary blockages are and together we will work to understand how and why you've gotten to this place.
